During this week I learned how work in in the UTA page. The teacher gave us our usernames and the passwords to access into the Internet and Multimedia Resources page. After, we changed our passwords for more security. Then we added more information and our photographs in the profiles. Also, we upload the first group workrelated about the URL, internet pages, reliable information, and so on. After that, the teacher taught us how we should manage the blogs and how share the information with the other users (classmates). Moreover, we developed an individual work and we published our respective paragraphs in the forum. Later, we gave an opinion based in our classmate’s comments.
On the other hand, I found an article that our teacher published in the Discussion Forum Rubric (http://www.cal.org/resources/Digest/0105oxford.html). When I read about Integrated Skills in the ESL/EFL Classroom I noticed something important. It said that some teachers prefer to develop one or two skills with the absence of all the others. I think that they should unite all of them to ensure an adequate learning in the students. In this form, the learners can get a better communication inside the environment that surrounds them. Also, students can interact with security and acquire self-confidence. When the teacher teaches in a wrong way, the student almost always uses literal translation from one language to another, especially when they are learning new grammar. To avoid this confusion in the students, the teacher must associate English's four important bases (reading, speaking, writing, and listening). With the integration of these skills, the teacher is promoting a free communication and preparing to his/her students to use the language in everyday life. Finally, I believe that all of this information will be applied when I realize my pre-professional practices in the next level of my English program.

Isabel,
ResponderEliminarCongratulations! Now you have your own blog. I have some suggestions:
your entries should show good reflection, not just simple general things.
you should add more information and cite all the sources you have used during the week.
you should investigate and add information about the topics we study in class.
look at the rubric to evaluate blogs, so you know exactly what I expect you to do.
look at the examples of learning reflective blogs from our virtual classroom.
That's all for now. Continue working hard!
